This sentimental, intimate wedding for Alli & Nick was an absolute honor to attend and photograph as a Yellowstone Elopement Photographer. I can’t wait to share the details, and photos, from their special weekend!
They chose to say “I do” around their closest friends and family beneath the beautiful pines and quacking aspens in Island Park, Idaho – near Yellowstone National Park. This was in the backyard of the beautiful airbnb cabin they rented in a gated community amongst acres and acres of wilderness. It was absolutely perfect, and so beautiful.
Bridals in Yellowstone
But the day before the wedding, Alli & Nick wanted to venture into Yellowstone National Park to get some gorgeous bridals of them as a couple! This is a great option for those who want to relax a bit more on their wedding day – knowing they already got some of the most important photos, (in golden hour lighting!), beforehand.
I scouted out the locations for their bridals, and there are sooo many options for to choose from for any Yellowstone Elopement Photographer! We found the most perfect views near the Grand Canyon of the Yellowstone, and some of the most iconic photos were at Artist’s Point!
Check out some of my favorites from their bridals below! 😊
The Bouquet
I actually had the honor of transporting the Bride’s bouquet up to Island Park for their bridals and the wedding day! Alli had Juniper Sage Floral do her wedding bouquet, and it turned out STUNNING. By choosing one of my preferred vendors from this list, Alli received a 10% discount on both of our services. I love working with the incredible vendors on this list, and photographing Juniper Sage Floral’s bouquet in Yellowstone National Park was an honor.
Downtown West Yellowstone
At the end of the session, after driving back to the West Yellowstone entrance/exit, we decided on a whim to do a few photos in downtown West Yellowstone, Montana. As a Yellowstone Elopement Photographer – these photos are some of my FAVORITES from their bridals – which just goes to show that sometimes the most spontaneous memories are the best to be documented. They even got two free scoops of ice cream to share from a local ice cream truck!!
The Wedding Day
The weather was a bit cloudy and cooler the next day – with just a drizzle of rain that morning. Luckily, rain is good luck on a wedding day and also, the rain decided to clear up just in time for their ceremony! They truly got the best of both worlds there.
Alli’s sister, Elena, helped her get her hair and makeup ready. Then, Nick joined Alli on the porch for some intimate getting ready moments right before their ceremony! Alli helped Nick with his tie, suit, etc. While Nick helped do Alli’s dress up and put her necklace on. They were giddy with excitement and it was such a special moment to photograph!
Alli’s grandpa officiated the ceremony – it was short and very, very sweet. He did a wonderful job and everyone had huge smiles on their faces the whole time.
When the ceremony concluded, we then moved into group photos! Afterwards, a yummy taco dinner made by Alli’s mom and grandma was set out. The “wedding cake” was also made by Alli’s mother – it was a chocolate toffee trifle, one of Alli’s favorite all time desserts! I loved all the personal touches throughout their wedding that made it feel so homey and personal to the couple.
Boot Scootin’ Boogie Time!
After cutting the “cake” (trifle), toasts, and a delicious dinner, music got thrown on the speakers and Alli & Nick danced the rest of the night away! It was a magical evening, complete with country line dancing and enjoying the music with each other and their family.
Make Your Wedding Day Significant to YOU
Alli and Nick’s wedding day is the perfect example of making their wedding day about them as a couple. They said their vows in a special place to them, surrounded by closest family, under an arch that Nick and his dad built out of the trees from the area themselves. They had their favorite food and desserts and didn’t let little things like the rain stress them out. It was the most gorgeous, intentional day and I absolutely loved photographing it for Alli and Nick.
Thank you for reading! Until next time! ♥️
