Taysie & Carter had the most perfect summer country wedding and it was a blast being able to capture it. This couple is such a great match!! They met in high school through the FFA program. Although they were just friends at first since Carter was dating someone else. Soon enough, Carter and Taysie started dating though, and Carter left for a mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints after high school. They kept in contact long distance for 2 years!!! And picked up right where they left off when Carter got home at the beginning of 2022!

We did their engagements in the spring in the mountains of Cache Valley, Utah and WOW did these photos turn out good!!! I love living in the Logan, Utah area. We are surrounded by mountains and there are so many amazing locations to choose from for shoots.

They decided on having a bridal/first look session before the wedding day as well, which was so fun because we got to go to another mountain location for these photos. I’ll share some of my favorites below!

Taysie and Carter actually organized their wedding timeline completely different than the traditional timeline! It was also very similar to how my husband and I planned out our wedding. (And I absolutely LOVED doing it this way!) In my opinion, it is the best way to do a wedding to avoid stress, burn out, and enjoy every moment with your new spouse, family, and friends celebrating. So, what they did was they had the reception the night before the wedding ceremony/sealing!! And the luncheon was the next day after the ceremony/sealing as well! I think that breaking it up into two days makes it a lot easier and more enjoyable for everybody.

Their reception was on Carter’s family’s property! It was complete with a view of the marina, the Wellsville Mountains, and the barn! Not to mention the arch, covered in fresh flowers from The Fleur Market, looked absolutely stunning. So many friends and family came to congratulate the couple, and they had fun celebrating that night with socializing, brownies and ice cream, cutting the cake, and a sparkler send off!

The next morning was their sealing at the Logan Utah Temple. The weather was perfect for their summer country wedding and everyone was SO excited to welcome them as they exited the temple! The group and bridal party photos were a blast with this crew, and not a detail was missed for completing the look of this gorgeous wedding!

After all the group photos, we did bridals of Taysie and Carter. These photos turned out to be some of my favorite. ♥️ You can see how joyful this couple is!! Nothing beats the feeling of marrying your very best friend.
