Engagement Photos, Unique Photo Locations

March 26, 2022

Wow, these engagement photos were a dream!! Tanvi and Sumanth brought their ADORABLE dog Chai, a happy-go-lucky golden retriever who has it’s own Instagram account! (Check it out at https://www.instagram.com/the_golden_chai/!) This dog, mixed with the fluffy snow and Tanvi & Sumanth’s obvious love for each other made this engagement session an absolute blast!

The romantic snow falling and this gorgeous location definitely added to the vibe. Jordan Pines Campground was the perfect spot for these photos. I couldn’t have imagined them turning out more perfect.

Taking engagement photos with dog can be a bit challenging. The trick is to let them run around and get some energy out before starting the photos! Also, once the camera starts clicking, beginning with walking photos is the best way to go to get some fun candids of the couple with their dog!

I also either begin or end the engagement session with the dog – giving the couple some one-on-one time with my camera as well! Tanvi and Sumanth changed their outfits after we finished all the photos with Chai. This gave them a chance to warm up since it was pretty chilly out during their photo session!

Engagement photos are such a fun way to celebrate saying “yes!” when he pops the question!! Bringing props that are personal to your relationship (and bringing your dog!) makes it even more exciting! ♥️

Tanvi brought a few different beanies she switched between for a different look during the second half of their photos which was a fantastic idea! There are so many ways engagement photos can be personalized to the individual and the couple – and I love when people add their personal touches! This makes them more comfortable in front of the camera too!
