I met Jessica and Jayson at the Bridal Faire in Logan, Utah at the beginning of 2022. When I first started talking with Jessica I noticed her cute cowgirl boots and instantly knew we would get along. We talked for a bit and it was fun to get to know her. Later on, she ended up winning my gift card for $50 off a session!! We scheduled their engagements for the following June. We honestly couldn’t have picked a better day for their western engagement photos.
The wildflowers were in full bloom at this amazing hidden gem of a location in Cache Valley, Utah. The wooden fence, green trees, and large mountains provided lots of variety for other types of photos as well. Makeup by Katelyn Pierson did Jessica’s makeup as well, and she did an amazing job! (Like always!)
Her and her fiancé are both from different towns in Wyoming. They met at a high school event but didn’t date until they were attending college at Utah State University, and the rest is history!! You can tell they both really care for each other, and also have tons of fun together. Jessica and Jayson make such a cute couple!! I am so excited for them to seal the deal next September!
These western engagement photos were so fun, especially since Jessica and Jayson knew how to swing dance! They were down to show me some of their favorite moves for photos. Along with trying some new poses, they used some sentimental props in photos, blew dandelions together, ran towards the camera while holding hands through the wildflowers, etc! It is always such a blast when the couple is down to try whatever the photographer suggests, and when they add their own personal touches as well.
These two decided on the Wadley Farms for their wedding venue, and told me they will be doing a fairy-tale cowboy themed wedding. They picked the perfect venue in my opinion!! Jessica and Jayson also brought two empty bottles of wine to use for photos. They explained to me how they are planning on using their most sentimental bottles shared together for their centerpieces. How cute is that?!
We also used Jayson’s grandmother’s quilt for some photos of the couple at the very end of the session. I loved how they incorporated so many sweet details in these photos. It helped me to bring their vision to life for their western engagement photos and I’m so happy they both loved how the photos turned out so much. ♥️
It was such an honor to capture these moments for these two, and I can’t wait for their happily ever after to begin!!
